My Cool Cat - Part 1

Monday, November 27, 2017 my furry son died. I know that will probably not sound like a big deal to many of you but it is monumental in my world. He was not just any cat. He was the kitten I was tasked with caring for when he was less than a month old. 

His eyes were barely opened , I was just wanted not more than holding him for a few but he fell asleep in my arms... and up until last Monday, I would follow that sentence by saying, "And 15 years later, I have Purrzy." Now there is nothing but hurt.

I re-arranged my apartment to a kitten-proof. I made him pee and poo. He was taken away from his mom at a very young age. I taught him how to use his litter box. On his own, he learned to response to both voice and hand signals. 

He would come when called, though I called him with different names .. Purrzy .. little boy .. little dudee, handsome .. no matter what I called him he always came with his head ready to be pet. He always wanted to be in the middle of everything that I was doing .. He likes being in charge! 

He took me to the door every morning before I left for work, when I came home He was always there by the door to welcome me.. 

He made it through 3 houses, from one state to another, 2 airplane rides, lots of car rides, 2 big hurricanes, 1 evacuation, we did it. He was my rock. He helped me appreciate everything that much more.

We made it through good times and bad times, The list goes on and on but the big one was when I lost the important part of my life, my Dad. Purrzy was there grieving with me, I did not want to live another day on earth without him. 

He was the crescendo of everything good and selfless I had ever done. He was my pride and joy. He was a piece of my soul. I have had many cats throughout my life, but never have had one who lived this long that I became attached to it. 

Over all Purrzy never had a big health issue, couple U.T.I  and few colds in his whole entire life, other than that going to the vet was just another annual routine check ups .. until few days before Halloween which was his birthday I saw the weirdness of the way he breathe.
